The Sandpiper is centrally heated making us the ideal venue for out of season breaks. We are licensed and have a cellar bar (away from all bedrooms).

Haytor Hotel - Superbly located in a quiet conservation area, the Haytor Hotel is only 300 metres from Torquay harbour and just a few minutes' walk from Meadfoot Beach. Extensively refurbished in 2008, the Haytor Hotel is an elegant Victorian hotel set in its own beautifully maintained gardens. You can leave your car in the large, level car park and explore Torquay at your leisure. Cary Court - Guest House - This "Plantation-style" house was built over a century ago on part of the Cary Estate in the leafy Warberries, a quiet conservation area off the Babbacombe Road. Cary Court is a few minutes' walk from the harbour, theatre and shopping areas. A wide choice of pubs, clubs, restaurants and bars are close by .There is a heated outdoor swimming pool (seasonal) surrounded by south-facing sub-tropical gardens and sun decks. In the lounge, there are large ceiling fans to cool you in summer and cosy log fires to warm you in winter. A full English breakfast is served in elegant surroundings with views over the garden. Special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement. Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished bedrooms feature a mixture of antique and period pieces, some with king-size beds, some with four-poster beds, all en suite. Minimum bookings for weekends are 2 nights, and 3 nights on public holidays.

Fleurie House - Beautifully set in a tree lined avenue in the cosmopolitan resort of Torquay, 'The English Riviera', this elegant Victorian villa is ideally located just a short stroll away from the sea front. Within easy reach of a range of local attractions, during your stay you can easily visit Torre Abbey and garden, the Riviera Centre and Theatre. The harbour and many shops and restaurants are also within easy walking distances. In the evenings, why not relax with a drink on Fleurie's picturesque sun terrace. Although the house is not licensed, you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks to relax with after a long day.
