The peace and tranquility of this lovely park was a fabulous start to our holiday. Colin and Linda gave a warm and friendly welcome, and were a goldmine of information on the local area, where to find things and recommended things to do and see. The caravan was very well presented and equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We hope to see you again next year! |

Small and friendly park, peaceful and quiet location. Right opposite the beach which was fantastic for dog walks. Short drive into Silloth for lovely walks along the promenade green, stunning views across the Firth to Scotland and access to supermarkets/pubs. |

We found Rowanbank Caravan Park a delight, it was spotlessly clean and tidy, peaceful and relaxing. This was our first visit to the Solway Firth and we were pleasantly surprised at to what was there to see. We watched the birds on the shore, curlews, oystercatchers and of course, the goldeneye. We were also able to see a multitude of stars which are almost invisible in the city. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking! The local town of Silloth was like going back in time, peaceful and unhurried, and very friendly. We were close enough to visit Scotland and the Lakes, but were delighted with Whitehaven, so much so that we went twice!
Trevor and Karen were the perfect hosts, knew the district well and advised us on where to dine out (Lowther Arms) and places to visit. They also take their responsibilities very seriously and will not tolerate rowdy behaviour from guests but deal with any problems in a tactful way. A very enjoyable week and we would certainly visit again. Thanks to all for making our holiday almost perfect! |

Rowanbank Caravan site is well looked after and is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet and restful break. The beach is just over the road and ideal for dog walking or just simply strolling along. The town of Silloth is very nice and is just a short drive away (about 8 minutes) there's always plenty of parking space and there's a nice promenade to walk along. There's a selection of shops and two supermarkets in the town. Also fish and chip shops, cafes, pubs which serve food, etc. Silloth has a very nice 'old world' atmosphere. We like staying there. |
